The Galena ARC now offers affordable art classes for Tri-State area homeschool learners. The classes will take place in the Galena ARC Art Studio, 11084 W US HWY 20, Galena, on the second Monday of every month during the school year. It has been a great year so far for the Lena-Winslow FFA Chapter. With 18 new and 45 returning members, the chapter is thriving. The Illinois Retired Teachers Foundation recently donated funds for two Yeti Blue microphones and two boom arms to Jay Dickerson's classroom at River Ridge High School. Students from the River Ridge Horticulture class recently took a field trip to Rocky Waters Vineyard and Winery to explore the science of viticulture.
