It was going to take an exceptional team to knock off the Orangeville Broncos and their 17 game winning streak coming into Memorial Day's Super Sectional in Sterling. But ... in all fairness, Peru St. Bede is an exceptional team.

As for the game itself, Orangeville was in no way out-classed by the Bruins. The Broncos had runners on in almost every single inning, and in scoring position multiple times.

"We just never got the key hit we needed," admitted head coach Lon Scheuerell. "We get one or two of those key hits, and who knows."
