No, the Scales Mound Hornets did not win the 1A state championship.

And many of our competitors will make references to the clock striking midnight on their Cinderella story.

But, those that do, are missing the point entirely.

Scales Mound graduated all five senior starters from the year before. Over 5000 points of offense got their diploma. Nobody expected them to pull off the miracle of a season they accomplished.
