It took two extra days for the Stockton Regional semi-finals to be played, but everyone in attendance would probably agree ... they were worth the wait.

Both Sterling Newman and Scales Mound were able to punch their tickets to the Regional championship – but not without some serious hurdles to clear in the semis.

For the Comets of Newman, they picket Lena-Winslow clean early with their 1-3-1 halfcourt trap, and raced out to the quick 6-0 lead before the Panthers had even put up a shot. And while the Panthers played the Comets relatively even in the second period – the 15-5 run they had allowed...
