Mother Nature's Wrath
March 1, 2023
The storm came in Wednesday night, and throughout the region we were warned about going out into the freezing rain and ice that were predicted.
In spite of the warnings, the sirens in towns all over the area blew almost hourly as someone, somewhere, was in trouble and needed help from the volunteer fire departments and EMTs who answered the calls.
And while many of us went to bed in a warm house, we awoke in the morning to a home without any form of power - and no heat - amid an icy covered winter wonderland that may have indeed been beautiful - but was also incredibly dangerous.
