It was a full day of basketball throughout the region last Saturday as the IHSA Regionals got started at locations throughout the state.

Locally, there were no major shockers in the 1A field – although several higher seeds were trailing at halftime, Polo was the only higher seed that was "upset" in the first round as they fell to Somonauk at home 53-42.

Fulton and Eastland both had to rally back from first half deficits, but the best game in the area took place in Warren as the Stockton Blackhawks pushed the Warren Warriors to the limit in double overtime.
