It has been a difficult week in the Stevens household. Not for the reasons you might expect – no – it’s been a pain because our furnace decided it was time to take a dump.

The issue was discovered by my wife who was smelling a burning electrical scent. She called my attention to it, but either my allergies are acting up, or my nose just isn’t as fine-tuned as hers.

Anyway, while the furnace was working, the blower – that distributed the heat – was not.
