The Scales Mound Hornets held a slim three point lead over the powerful Pecatonica Indians with two minutes left in their third place contest at the MLK Tournament.

Desperate to get the ball, but forced to foul, the Indians fouled Hornet senior Charlie Wiegel, who stepped to the line for a one-and-one attempt, but missed the shot.

Pecatonica came racing down the floor, but rushed a deep three point attempt as they tried to tie the game up all at once. The ball went long, where Max Wienen snagged the rebound, but there – demanding the ball, was Wiegel.
