As the Lena-Winslow Panthers performed yet another routine ground pounding 44-18 win over the Du/Pec Rivermen, it allowed some deeper evaluation into what was taking place.
On a third and eight for Du/Pec, the Rivermen went into an empty backfield – meaning there was no running back or end in the backfield near the quarterback – he was by himself.
Lena-Winslow assistant coach Kevin Milder was screaming, "Empty! Empty!" and as the ball was snapped, Panther senior linebacker Jace Flynn raced in from the weakside and wrapped Du/Pec's quarterback for a sack.
