On paper, the Stockton Blackhawks are supposed to be in the middle of a rebuilding year. They have no six foot power hitter, or any massive high jumping stud they can turn to in a pinch, they don't serve bullets on a line straight over the net that fall off the table for points, in fact – offensively – the Blackhawks have fewer kills than most teams in the NUIC-West.

So, how is it possible that they sit at 5-1 in the conference and 11-7-2 overall?
