The Galena Pirates and Stockton Blackhawks have squared off in some epic football games over the years, and when Jo Daviess County bragging rights typically came down to the winner of their annual battle, calling it a rivalry would be an understatement.

But in the thick book listing all of the exciting games between the two traditional football powers, what took place Friday night would not amount to much more than a footnote.
