Things didn't start out so well for the Scales Mound Hornets, but once they started talking to each other ... Polo was in trouble.

Watching the opening of the match between Scales Mound and Polo Wednesday night was like watching an episode of the Keystone Kops as balls were hit into the net, or out of bounds, players literally ran into each other, and the best one was when three players stood there and watched as a ball landed on the floor between them.

"They always start slow," said head coach Keri Werner of Scales Mound. "Ever since I was coaching them back in seventh grade. I don't know why. I wish I did. They start slow in basketball too."
