More than any other program in Illinois - Covid ruined what would have been a magical, and probably state championship year, for the River Ridge Wildcats in 2020. The sad thing was that they had a ton of seniors graduate from that team, so the 2021 season was pure rebuild mode as the Wildcats limped to the finish with a 3-6 final record.

Ethan Fye worked as much magic as he could at quarterback, but the simple truth was that a lot of talent on the team was simply too young and inexperienced to allow the Wildcats to compete.
