Recently, some friends and I were talking about our middle names, and where they came from. And the conversation turned towards a story I thought I had relayed – because it is well known in my family – but apparently, nobody had ever heard it before.
So, let me relay it now.
My maternal grandfather, Lewis Peterson, was where I got my middle name – Lewis.
Like most kids growing up, you never really heard it unless your parents were seriously mad at you, “Daniel Lewis Stevens you should be smacked!”
