Arbor Day Celebration

The City of Freeport is partnering with the Freeport Park District for a special Arbor Day Celebration which will be held at the Gunkel Shelter in Krape Park on Friday, April 29th beginning at 10:00 am.

Representatives from the City of Freeport and Freeport Park District will gather to commemorate Arbor Day and celebrate the Tree City designation that was recently awarded to Freeport.

Following the Tree City proclamation by Mayor Jodi Miller, Kiwanis Kids groups from Empire and Blackhawk schools will join in the celebration by planting trees in Krape Park near the Gunkel Shelter. There w...
