The early story of the game was the loss of Nathan Brinkmeier to a turned ankle.

It's very easy to admire the Scales Mound Hornets and their overpowering style of defense that leads to a track meet on the basketball court. They are undefeated, loaded with talent and have five starters who can all hit the three and/or dunk a basketball.

But it's also easy to admire the Pearl City Wolves.

Wednesday night in Pearl City, the Wolves opened up their conference schedule by hosting the Aquin Bulldogs. Pearl City is not blessed with five outstanding athletes who can all handle the basketball with either hand and run rings around the opposition. Pearl City has several farm kids...
