On October 1st of this year, residents of Lena are going to see an increase in their water bill. At last week’s Board meeting the Village Board approved the measure unanimously. But the reasoning behind the increases make perfect sense.

“Water rates have not changed in nearly a decade. Sewer rates have changed once in about the same amount of time. Inflation over this time has increased the costs of everything.
