Guilty Murder Plea

Jo Daviess County State’s Attorney, Chris Allendorf, would like to inform the public of the following information. On April 16, 2021, Joseph L. Wright of Dubuque, Iowa pled guilty as part of a plea agreement to Second Degree Murder. These charges stem from an incident that occurred on April 21, 2019 in East Dubuque, Illinois and resulted in the death of Jennifer L. Miller, 44 of East Dubuque, Illinois.

As a result of his plea of guilty, Mr. Wright was sentenced by Judge Michael Bald to 17 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. This sentence...
