The first time Aquin's Gwen Stovall squared off against the hills of Lake Carroll in a Cross Country competition this Fall, she wasn't even the first runner from Aquin to cross the finish line – let alone claim one of the top five spots. But last week, in her second race amid the ski hills that the Cougars call home it was a totally different story as Stovall pulled away early from the pack and blew everyone away in claiming first place overall by over 23 seconds.
