Last season, the River Ridge Wildcats opened up with a shut out win, and in all fairness tied the school record for most wins in a season, but were unable to string back to back wins together all season as they battled to a 4-5 record overall and were left on the outside - looking in - when it came time for the playoffs to get under way.
