Twenty-two members of the River Ridge FFA Chapter traveled to Lena to compete in the Section One FFA Agronomy Career Development Event on November 14th along with thirteen other schools from across our section. In the agronomy CDE students are tested on their ability to identify insects, weeds, crop seeds, and agriculture machinery/equipment. They also were graded on how they placed classes of soybeans and corn and took a written test that tested their knowledge on production agriculture.
