Crash With Injury

On August 5, 2023, at approximately 10:55 am, the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center received a report of a one vehicle motorcycle crash on West Council Hill Road approximately 1.5 miles west of North Jewell Lane, Scales Mound.

Chad D. Renton, 51 of Rockford, was driving his black 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on West Council Hill Road when he lost control as he was attempting to negotiate a sharp right-turning corner in the roadway. Renton’s motorcycle then crashed on its side and skidded off the roadway to the south.
