One Small Hurdle Cleared, But

 


While a sale is nowhere near a certainty in the future, the Stephenson County Board did take a step towards that by approving the pursuit of a letter intent for the Walnut Acres Nursing Home.

At its June meeting, the Board approved the letter of intent by a vote of 9-6 and it took a while to get there. District C Representative Casey Anthony twice tried to halt a vote on the letter of intent. Anthony first tried to get the action item removed from the agenda for the meeting. After much discussion, that attempt failed by a 10-5 vote. Anthony then made a motion to layover the letter...
