Sharon K. Knoup, 81
Sharon K. Knoup age 81 of Pearl City, IL passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. She was born in Pearl City, IL on May 31, 1941 to Francis Lee and Hazel (Dietrich) Croffoot. Sharon Married Charles “Chuck” D. Knoup on December 6, 1959. Charles passed away on October 28, 2005. Sharon graduated from Pearl City High School in 1959. She began her working career at Marthas Café from there she worked at Amber Lights and Little Johns Tap all in Pearl City, IL. She enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO. Her children and grandchildren were her life. She would do anything for them at any time.
She is survived by her children Sherrie (Rick) Wanner of Glendive, MT, Kirk (Stacey) Knoup, Todd Knoup, Tricia (Mark) Goldsmith all of Pearl City, IL; grandchildren- Ian (Ashley) Goldsmith, Tyler (Katina) Knoup, Austin (Nycole Ryner) Knoup, Alex (Megan Bacchi) Goldsmith, Abbey Goldsmith, Nick (Kaitlyn Williams) Knoup; great grandchildren- Zander Knoup and Lincoln Goldsmith; step sisters- Marion Taber, Pat Vanderheyden, Bonnie (Jan) Lawfer; In laws- Bonnie Dittmar, Bob (Sharon) Knoup, John (Jill) Knoup all of Pearl City, Ed (Linda) Knoup of Freeport, Pat (Harvey) Kubley of Monticello, WI and Margaret (Mike) Knoup of Rockford; 19 nieces and nephews.
Sharon was proceeded in death by her husband; parents, mother and father in law- Clark (Tobe) and Martha Knoup; 3 brothers in law- Neil Dittmar, Delbert Knoup, and Steve Knoup.
Funeral service was held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 25, 2023 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Pearl City, IL with a brief visitation from 10:00 untill time of service. A Visitation was held from 4:00-8:00 pm Friday, March 24, 2023 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Pearl City, IL. Pastor Shellie Knight officiated the service. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery in Pearl City, IL.

William Robert Brooks, 90
William Robert Brooks, age 90, of Stockton, IL passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at the VA Hospital in Madison, WI. William was born on May 10, 1932 in Fort Dodge, IA to the late William and Abby (Collins) Brooks. William married Nancy Boekholder on November 17, 1962 at St. Joseph’s Church in Freeport, IL.
William was a graduate of Fort Dodge High School and St. Ambrose University. He proudly served in the United States Navy. William was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Stockton and the Model Airplane Club. He had worked as a Quality Control Manager for Eaton. William enjoyed reading, building model airplanes, tinkering, and remodeling.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Brooks; his daughters, Thea Brooks and Lisa (David) Craig; his son, William Brooks; his 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Elaine; and his granddaughter, Haley.

Thomas A. Below, 71
Thomas A. Below, 71, of Tocoma, WA, formerly of Stockton, IL passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2023. He was born on July 27, 1951 in Freeport, IL. He graduated from Stockton High School in 1969.
Tom served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972 and 1978-1987. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening.
Tom is survived by his brother, Jerold R. (Eileen) Below of Elijay, GA; and his sister, Judith K. (Donald) Schiess of Stockton, IL He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold E. and Clara D. Below; and his infant brother, James J. Below.
Warren
Norman D. Harris, 97
Norman D. Harris, 97 of Warren, IL passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born on August 24, 1925, in Stockton, IL to Ivan and Matilda (Kempert) Harris. Norm came from a humble beginning. His mom ironed and babysat for people and his father collected coal from the railroad to heat their house.
Norman married Marilyn Holmes and together they had Stephen and Sharon. On December 26, 1967, he married Bonnie Hicks and together they had Michael “Mike” Harris. He served his county in the U.S. Navy and once he was discharged, he took on Carpentry. He was part owner of Lena Builders with Harold Meeker for numerous years. In 1975 he and Bonnie moved to Warren, IL and started selling Wick Homes. 1971-1991 he taught industrial arts at Orangeville High School. During that time, he also helped on Warren EMS as a basic and driver. Norman was part of the Lena Legion for 70+ years and St. Paul Lutheran Council President for several years. He loved painting from his elementary school years on. He often gifted his family members and friends with his paintings. Anyone who knew him knew his house was his own private art gallery with both oil and acrylic paintings and two very special watercolor paintings. He also took great pride in his lawn.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie; one daughter- Sharon (Dennis) Scheider, one son- Michael (Carrie) Harris; daughter-in-law- Mary Kerley; 8 grandchildren- Sheilah, Jaime, Andy, Crystal (Mark), Cole, Alex, Abby, and Lisa; 4 great grandchildren- Ariel and William, David, and Oliver; and a small number of nieces and nephews.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law; son Stephen; 2 brothers- Jack (May) Harris and Burdette (Joan) Harris; 3 grandchildren- Baby Girl Scheider, Nancy Harris, Doug Harris.
Funeral Services were held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Warren, IL on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 11:00 am. Visitation was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Warren, IL on Monday, March 27, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Rev Steve Kottke officiated the service.

Apple River
Nancy Ingram, 87
Nancy Ingram, age 87, of Apple River, Illinois, passed away peacefully at Edenbrook in Platteville, Wisconsin on Friday, March 17, 2023. Nancy was born on June 24, 1935 in Marseilles, Illinois to Charles and Clara (Brown) Fleming. She was a librarian in Columbia, Missouri at various schools, including Rock Bridge High School. Nancy moved to Apple River Illinois in 1981, after marrying Terrance Ingram in Columbia, Missouri at the Friends Meeting. She loved growing flowers with a green thumb, and watching birds. She could watch them for hours. Nancy was a kind friend, a homemaker, a bookkeeper, an accountant and a proof reader.
Nancy attended the Apple River Presbyterian Church and for many years helped with the children's Good News Club. She was the co-owner of Apple Creek Apiaries and Apple Creek Farm Supply, alongside her husband Terry. Nancy also bottled honey alongside her husband. She was a beautiful singer; she often did duets with Terry and sang in choirs. She loved singing the old Gospels.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Terry of Apple River, her two sons; Karl (Cindy) Laun of Danvers, Illinois, and Rolf (Julia) Laun of San Antonio, Texas; two granddaughters Christina (Rob) Sabo of Naperville, IL and Jennifer (Vince) Luna of San Antonio, TX; three great-grandchildren; Avery, Andrew, and Charlie; and her sister Charlene Earlywine of Morrison, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Keith, and her sisters Barbara and Dorothy.
It was Nancy’s wish to donate her body to medical research At this time, no services will be held.
