James Michael Reilly Jr., 74

James Michael Reilly, Jr., age 74 of Stockton, IL passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at home. He was born in Queens, NY to the late James Michael Reilly, Sr. and Pauline Ann (Bender) Reilly. James married Raewai O’Brien on January 28, 1984 at JFK Airport.

James served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and received several medals, including a Bronze Star. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stockton. He had worked as a copier technician for Xerox in Manhattan for 30 years and loved every minute of it and rubbed elbows with several famous actors at Rockefeller Center. James enjoyed camping at the Lena KOA for 10 years, taco Tuesdays at the Red Knight, traveling and watching horse racing. He visited many tracks throughout the years. He also enjoyed participating in Football Pools with his friends.

James is survived by his wife, Raewai Reilly; his daughter, Kristen (Stephen) Reilly; his sons, Brian (Michelle) Bass and Jeremy (Tami) Bass; his grandchildren, Blade, Jamie, Tyler, Kyle, Mickenzie, Mickayla, Brady, Noelle, Fiona and Terry; his great grandchildren, Willow and Pierce; and his brother, Dan (Sonia) Reilly. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Daniel Reilly.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Stockton on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A memorial fund has been established. Condolences may be shared at http://www.hermannfuneralhome.com.
