The Scales Mound Churches United (Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Scales Mound United Methodist, & Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran) hosted a Chili and Soup Cookoff on November 12th to benefit all Jo Daviess County food pantries.
The community generously supported this event through cash, product and baked goods donations. Representatives from the churches gave each of the seven food pantries a check for $300 and divided approximately $750 worth of product among them on December 10th.
