The program, Backyard Birds of Illinois, sponsored by the Stephenson County Association for Home and Community Education, was presented at the Farm Bureau in Freeport on Saturday, March 5th.

Rich Hofmaster, bird enthusiast, along with fellow bird watcher and photographer, Patty Welk, showed slides of the many varieties of birds they had photographed right in Freeport or elsewhere in Stephenson County. They talked about the migratory patterns of several different birds, how some birds' feathers can change in color during different seasons, as well as what different bird species like to eat....
