Area Speech teams competed over the weekend at the Freeport IHSA Speech Regional, without many big surprises found in the results.

Covid has decimated are speech to the point where EPC was the only small school team that was able to field a complete – all 14 entries – team at the Regional. But even though several other schools had far fewer competitors, those who did battle it out, came away with high honors.

Final team scores saw Freeport dominate as the Pretzels, who hosted the Regional, won first or second place in 13 of the 14 events. Team scores were:
