On May 20th, 2021, the Stephenson County Board voted 15-7 to engage with a brokerage firm Marcus & Millichap to list for sale Walnut Acres Nursing Home, which is more commonly known as the Stephenson County Nursing Center.

We were part of the bi-partisan group of Board Members who voted in the affirmative to list our County owned skilled nursing center for sale, and we were both part of the 13 members who voted on June 29th, 2021, to approve a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the sale of Walnut Acres.
