He may not have been able to see the scoreboard, but Henry Engel could certainly hear the crowd as he won his 100th match, first place at 285, and the Regional Championship for his Pantherhawk team.
It all came down to the final match of the night. The Dakota Indians held a one point lead over the Lena-Winslow/Stockton Pantherhawks with only one bout left to be decided – Lena-Winslow's Henry Engel was taking on Cade Odell of Princeton in the championship match.
Engel was guaranteed at least second place in the 285 pound weight class, and was going to advance on to the Sectionals this weekend at DeKalb, but ... for his team to claim first place overall and have a chance to advance on in the team competition – it all came down to him.
Odell was no pushover – nobody was in the fin...
