A Connection On The Court

Last season, during their run to the State finals, the Scales Mound Hornets traveled to DeKalb for the Super Sectional. And after winning their game to punch the ticket to the State finals, they made a connection with the Glenbard West Hilltoppers – a 4A team that also won their Super Sectional game at DeKalb.

As fate would have it, both teams were assigned to the same hotel in Champaign, and a friendship was formed between the respective players. The Hilltoppers were there in attendance, cheering on the Hornets in the 1A semifinals and third place game, and even joined the team for pizz...
