A Citizens Committee is being formed to promote a Yes vote in the upcoming Lena-Winslow School District Referendum. The referendum will determine how school board members are chosen. A Yes vote would change from using congressional townships to at-large members. Some of the reasons to vote Yes are:

- The use of congressional townships to determine who can serve on a School Board is an archaic system that was used when there were many schools, including one room schools, in a district. Those days are long gone.

- The use of congressional townships is very confusing to voters...
