Freeport Gunfire Continues

On Saturday, July 24, 2022 at approximately 1:52 A.M., officers of the Freeport Police Department received a call of shots fired in the 1600 Block of S Locust Avenue. Shortly after receiving the call, officers located a subject who had been struck by gunfire at the Freeport Memorial Hospital. The victim, aged 27 of Freeport, had non-life threatening injuries and had been transported to the hospital by private vehicle.
