Lena SAL Entertains Local Veterans

On Tuesday, July 12th, the Lena Sons of The American Legion Squadron 577 thanked nine area veterans for their service to our country by taking them to Wrigley Field to watch the Baltimore Orioles take on the Chicago Cubs. After leaving Freeport at 1:00 pm for the journey to Chicago, the group stopped at Yak-Zies in Wrigleyville for a pregame meal before entering the friendly confines to see the Orioles top the Cubs 4-2. Not only did the vets have a great meal and great game, they had many pictures taken with the Cubs Icons Statues in the Gallagher Way plaza.
