Stockton

Kimberly Lynn Bauer, 59

Kimberly Lynn Bauer, age 59, of Stockton, IL passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Lena Living Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 15, 1963 in Moline, IL to the late Truman and Kay (Hellebuyck) Meier. Kim married Jay Bauer on August 2, 1986 at Christ Lutheran Church in Stockton.

Kim was a 1981 graduate of Stockton High School. She graduated from Highland Community College and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia University. She had worked as an Art Teacher for the Stockton Schools for 20 years. She also owned Artwork Studios where she hosted paint and sip parties. During the summer months she ran an art program at the Stockton Park. Kim enjoyed gardening, cooking (especially holiday meals), convertible rides with her husband, and her dogs, Piper and Luna. Most of all, Kim loved her family, especially her new granddaughter, Presley.

She is survived by her husband, Jay Bauer; her sons, Drew (Fiancé, Abigail), Dillon (Erin), and Austin (Partner, Marcie); her granddaughter, Presley; and her special Aunt Jane (Larry). She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant brother, Thomas.

Lena

Taylor Marie Musser, 28

Taylor Marie Musser, 28, of Lena, IL passed away Friday, June 24, 2022, surrounded by her family at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI.

Taylor was born on January 21, 1994 in West Plains, MO to Melissa Griffin and Bobby Jack Vandiver. Taylor attended River Ridge High School and was most recently a stay-at-home mom. Taylor married Brett Musser on March 18, 2018.

Taylor is survived by her husband Brett, and four children; Arianna Marie, Lily Ann, Adalynn May, and Lincoln Robert, her parents Melissa (Michael) Griffin and Bobby Jack Vandiver, her grandparents Kay and Bob Watson, brothers and sisters; Bobby (Melia) Vandiver, Noah Davis, Nikki Davis, Dayinera Griffin, Austin, Candace, Melia, and Darrick Collins, aunt; Melody (Chaz) Hammer, uncles; Troy (Crystal) Watson and Sean (Robyn) Watson, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews and dear friends that were family to her.

Taylor was a beautiful soul with a spark for life many people never knew Her greatest joy in life was being a mother. Her loss will be felt by so many that loved her and knew her love.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A celebration of life was held at 5:00 pm on July 24, 2022, at Meridian Park in Warren, IL. A memorial has been established in her memory.

Davis

Megan Elaine Tielkemeier, 36

Megan Elaine Tielkemeier, age 36 of Monroe, WI formerly of Davis, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born September 15, 1985; the daughter of Dalon and Lorilee (Gates) Tielkemeier. She graduated from Dakota High School with the class of 2004. She was a member of St. Paul Church of Epleyanna of Davis.

Megan had a passion for helping others; so much so that she made a career out of it by becoming a CNA and providing home health care to people in the area who needed extra help. Her full time job was being “Mama Bear.” She loved her children fiercely and provided them with a loving and extremely organized home. Organization was one of her greatest skills. Megan found her happiness in making others happy. She was always putting others before herself and had close relationships with family, friends, and neighbors. She was a true friend who could always be counted on. Her bubbly personality and unfailing positivity will always be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents; Dalon & Lorilee Tielkemeier of Davis, IL; maternal grandparents, Orvin & Dannis Gates of Lena, IL; her children, Khloe, Caysin and Rylei; partner, Bradley Armitage of Monroe, WI; Brad’s mom, Debbie Armitage of Monroe; brother, Joshua Tielkemeier of Davis; niece, Dixion Tielkemeier; aunts, Donna (Bill) Althoff of Myrtle Beach, SC, Julie (Rich) Davis of Warren, IL, and Robin Gates of Beloit, WI; uncle, Merlin (Reneè) Tielkemeier of Grapevine, TX; several cousins; and special friends, Carrie, Becka, Lindsay, Jenn, and Danielle. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Darrell & Marcella Tielkemeier.

A visitation was held on Friday July 22, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul of Epleyanna Church in Davis, IL. The funeral service was Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will take place at St. Paul Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for her children’s college funds. The Daughenbaugh Funeral Home of Dakota, IL is assisting her family.
