Juvenile Aggravated Robbery

On April 23, 2022, around 12:24 PM, officers of the Freeport Police Department responded to a robbery call in the 400 block of W Douglas. During the investigation, officers learned that a juvenile victim had come to Freeport in response to a social media sale of an iPhone. During the exchange, the suspect, a 16 year-old male from Freeport, removed a handgun from his pocket and robbed the victim of cash and an iPad. The handgun was later determined to not be real.
