The hearts of Scales Mound Hornet fans had a hard time watching as the Liberty Eagles dashed their hopes of meeting top ranked Yorkville Christian in the 1A State finals.

The Eagles were physically bigger and stronger – standing 6'6", 6'5", 6'4" and 6'2" – and none of them were what anyone would call "lean".
