The Highland Community Foundation unveiled a commissioned mural to honor Delbert Scheider, one of the founding members of Freeport Community College, which eventually became Highland Community College.
Jeff Reinke, the executive director for the Foundation, praised Scheider's unwavering optimism and vision, noting that his influence will endure throughout the region.
