On Thursday, July 22nd, the Stephenson County Board voted along party lines, 13-5, to pass a resolution recommending Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker reform the Illinois unemployment benefits system. Specifically, the resolution urges Governor Pritzker to opt the State of Illinois out of the enhanced federal unemployment benefits program and reinstate the job-seeking requirement for those receiving unemployment benefits.
