Trying to put together an All Area team in baseball is never easy for a couple of reasons – the first one being, most schools place their best athletes at the same position – shortstop and/or catcher. And in the outfield, if we tried to keep positions in order, some exceptional athletes who played center field would not make it ... so we fudge the positions a little.
