You’d be hard-pressed to find a coach of any sport who will not echo the sentiment, “nothing good ever happens after midnight.”

Doing anything in the wee hours of the morning is usually not a good idea. Coaches know that the phone calls they get after midnight are a harbinger of a bad day to come. Usually someone’s been arrested, been in an accident, or been in a fight.
