Efforts are underway to save the Masonic Temple in Freeport, but your help is needed to make sure it happens.
Just about everyone reading this – at one point or another – has been to a function at the Masonic Temple in Freeport. Whether it was a concert, banquet or special event ... the iconic building that was christened when John Phillip Sousa made the first performance on that stage ... is in trouble.
When you take into consideration the sheer size and mass of the building, can you imagine what the cost is to heat it each winter?
What about the water or electric bill?
We were stunned when we found out the numbers from the Freeport Temple Manager, Dean White.
