Anniston Werner of Scales Mound limps over to the bench after turning her ankle in game one of the Hornet's match against Eastland.
The Scales Mound Hornets were playing one of their better matches of the year against the Eastland Cougars – trailing by only two at 14-12 in the first game when freshmen sensation, Anniston Werner jumped high as part of a double block at the net against Eastland superstar Karlie Krogman.
Werner got the block, but the ball still rolled over the net to the Hornet side where she was about to dig it up when – everything stopped.
Werner came down on the foot of another player, turning her already injured ankle, and limped over to the sideline – done for the day.
