Battle For The West

Both the Galena Pirates and Warren Warriors came into Tuesday night's battle with unblemished records in the NUIC West, and it showed as the two grappled through three games in order to determine a winner. But two major factors helped to tip the scales in favor of the Pirates who claimed the 25-23, 21-25, 25-15 victory.

With new unofficial editor, Brynn Bohnsack handling the statistical duties, the numbers made it very clear what one of the factors was in determining the winner of the match – the play of Galena sophomore hitter Taylor Hilby.
