Whirlwind Season Winding Down

With only 34 seconds to go in the game, the Lena-Winslow Panthers were down three to Pecatonica on the road. Coach Dennis Huttenlocher set up an in-bounds play that got the ball to senior Sadie Mowery who drained the three point basket to tie the game at 36-36.

Without missing a beat, Mowery then got a steal with only 21 seconds remaining, and was fouled – putting her at the line where she made one of two free throws to give the Panthers the lead at 37-36.
