It’s not easy for me to have a vacation.

I mean, when you look at the weekly schedule needed to put the paper out, there just really isn’t any convenient “weekend” to go out for a day or two. Fridays are deadline days, Saturdays are needed for pagination, Sunday is for final changes and posting that week’s issue on the website, the paper itself is due to press Sunday night, and Tuesday is delivery day when we drive all over the region dropping off bags of papers.

So with Monday as “technically” our only light day … that doesn’t leave you much of a chance to take a break...
