Cross Country Ski Trail Opens

Now that the first snow of the season has arrived, the Jo Daviess Conservation Foundation (JDCF) invites the public to it's Valley of Eden Bird Sanctuary for cross-country skiing on several miles of groomed trails for both traditional cross-country skis as well as snowshoes.

New this year are directional signs along the trails and a sledding hill near the viewing platform that is just up from the welcome kiosk.

There are few places to go cross-country skiing in Jo Daviess County and we thank Exact Pest Solutions and Jackson Landscaping for their collaboration on this project....
