Many people remember how back in October, the Stephenson County Nursing Center – DBA Walnut Acres – transported many of their residents to a Rockford facility in order to quarantine the wing of the facility in which Covid-19 had broken out.

But now the fallout from that outbreak is beginning to take shape.

On November 6, the Nursing Center received official notice from the Illinois Department of Public Health that a survey had been conducted into the matter, and showed that the facility "was not in substantial compliance."
