Freeport Accepting Facade Improvement Grant Applications

The City of Freeport is accepting 2021 Façade Improvement Program Grant Applications through February 26, 2021. The Façade Improvement Grant Program is designed to provide owners of properties financial incentives to preserve, restore, and rehabilitate the exterior features of buildings located within the Downtown Tax Increment Redevelopment (TIF) Area. The grants are provided by the City of Freeport, in partnership with Paint the Port, in recognition of the positive impact that individual facade rehabilitations can have on the overall appearance and quality of storefronts.
