To 'Opt Out' Or Not

Whether or not to keep your child at home and safe from potential infection, or allow them to see their friends and get direct interaction with teachers ... that is the question.

Throughout the region, area school districts have gotten their return to school plans approved, and while they might vary from district to district, they all have one thing in common – the ability for a family to have their kid "Opt out" of face-to-face learning and only do it at home online.

But before you jump to your decision on whether or not to opt out, you had better look at the complete picture.

Now, in no way shape or form, do I think I know better than a parent regarding the best academic path for their child. I am not in any manner trying to sway someone's decision one way or...
